More than 1,500 Scouts are at Scouts BSA Resident Camp and Cub Scout Day Camp this summer having a blast- from enjoying the great outdoors to earning merit badges and building friendships that will last a lifetime. Later this summer, it’s our turn to have fun, make connections and support Scouting so more young people in our area have access to the life-changing opportunities that build character and create thoughtful, well-rounded leaders.
Join us for three incredible events right in your backyard. You know the impact Scouting has on young people- the leadership traits instilled, adventures Scouts go on, friendships they make and how they truly become prepared for life. We have the potential to reach hundreds of thousands of young people, including through our ScoutReach program which helps to fund Scouting for underprivileged youth in our community.
Scouting’s Golf Tournament
Aug. 30 | Race Brook Country Club, Orange
Spend an unforgettable day golfing with friends and help change a kid’s life by supporting our ScoutReach program for at-risk youth. Rarely can non-members play the famed, private Race Brook Country Club, so don’t miss this special day filled with food, drinks and 18 holes of golf. You’ll be making memories and making a difference.
Sporting Clays Shoot
Sept. 18 | Wallingford Rod & Gun Club
Ready… aim… fire! Practice your marksman skills in what’s been described as “golf with a shotgun” with a high-energy, day of sporting clay shooting at the Wallingford Rod & Gun Club. All levels are welcome! Bring friends, colleagues or clients for a unique outdoor adventure on September 18, or sign up individually to expand your network. All proceeds raised will help send Scouts to camp and get them active outdoors.
A Night at Black Rock
Sept. 23 | Black Rock Yacht Club, Bridgeport
Close Summer out with a seaside celebration at the beautiful Black Rock Yacht Club! We’re coming together to expand our ScoutReach program in Bridgeport. Enjoy an evening with friends, delicious surf & turf- including lobster, signature cocktails and a steel drum band on Sept. 23.
