LIFE SAVING Training this Summer at Camp Sequassen for ALL Adult Leaders
We are experiencing a global mental health crisis. People of all ages need help, including our Youth and Adult Members.
“To Help Other People” is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives. Based on QPR, the most widely taught Gatekeeper training in the world, this is a 90-minute, evidence-based, suicide prevention training program developed by the QPR Institute. The course teaches the lay person how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and to follow the 3 simple steps of QPR – Question. Persuade. Refer. QPR helps save lives, and you can be part of this important movement to reduce stigma and offer hope to those in crisis.
This course will be offered every Tuesday at Camp Sequassen from 9:00 – 10:30 AM. We will also be offering the training in the fall at locations in each District.
P.S. Did you know that 988 is the National Suicide and Crises Lifeline. Call or text 24/7/365. If this is an emergency, call 911.
