Registration is CLOSED for the May 17-19, Scouts BSA Spring STEM Camporee. Please see below to download the Leaders Guide and Merit Badge Guide Book.
Notes:
- Webelos WOW: We are looking for older Scouts to serve as Patrol Leaders for the Webelos and/or to teach Webelos Pins. Please email names of Scouts that would be interested to johnwhanks@hotmail.com.
- Chess Tournament is being in the afternoon run by the Chess Club of Fairfield County. We are looking for two adult volunteers to work with the Chess Club and provide adult supervision during the tournament. This is being held upper Hoyt Cabin.
- Ultimate Frisbee Tournament: See page 9 of the Leaders Guide. This will be a youth-led event but we need two adults to coach and guide on the sideline.
- No Merit Badges: We have 36 Scouts on the “No Merit Badge List.” Some are on the list because they could not get into Merit Badges classes they wanted. Alternate programs are Open Archery, Work with Webelos, Take a Hike and Conservation Projects. Troops are welcome to host a STEM/NOVA Award and/or to provide counselors for an alternative Merit Badge.
- Drivers Wanted: We need drivers and adult supervision for Animal Science (up the road from Hoyt), Aviation (Danbury Airport), and Programming (Danbury Mall). Please let us know if you can help.
- Merit Badges: Please use the Merit Badge Guide Book to get your Scouts working on the prerequisites. It may not be possible to complete all of the requirement that weekend.
Questions and/or to Volunteer: Joel DeGray at joeldegraybsa@gmail.com.
