Keeping our Scouting community safe is our top priority. We’re also committed to transparently communicating with you as we all navigate these changing times. We were made aware today of an employee who has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee has not been in the office since late last week and is taking proper isolation steps.
Out of an abundance of caution and to help our employees and Scouting family practice social distancing ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, we have closed the Council Service Center through the Thanksgiving holiday. While we have already enhanced our cleaning protocols during the pandemic, we have arranged a specialized cleaning service to disinfect the office this week.
All Council employees will be working remotely and anticipate returning to the office on Monday, November 30. While our team is working remotely they are fully accessible by email and phone and are here to help you (contact them here). In observance of Thanksgiving, we will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26 and 27. Also, please note, this adjustment doesn’t impact the Milford Scout Shop’s operations.
Please stay safe and follow guidance from public health officials as well as review our Council’s COVID-19 guidance here: https://www.ctyankee.org/coronavirus.
We wish the impacted employee a speedy recovery.
