MEDIEVAL WINTER AT CAMP SEQUASSEN – QUINNIPIAC DISTRICT KLONDIKE DERBY
Friday, January 19 to Sunday, January 21 (Troops can sign-in starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Departure will be at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. All program will be held on Saturday.)
Camp Sequassen, New Hartford, CT
Come to Camp Sequassen and bring honor to your kingdom! In this Klondike Derby, sponsored by the Quinnipiac District and The Order of the Arrow’s Quinnipiac Chapter, Scouts will compete in fun challenges that test your scout skills and teamwork. Conquer the other kingdoms and become the champions! This event is open to all registered Scouts BSA Troops. Activities to include:
- Capture the Banner – Armies will compete to conquer the other patrol’s land.
- Battle Training – Hit the ax target and get points for your kingdom.
- Infirmary Brigade – Groups will compete in a challenge to transport the injured through obstacles.
- Knightly Navigation – Complete a timed orienteering course using a map and compass.
- Home Fit for a King – Build a shelter that can withstand various natural elements.
- Archer’s Odyssey – Hit the bullseye and bring honor to your kingdom!
- Sled Racing – May the fastest team win!
