Unit Volunteer Appreciation Day June 17, 2020
and the Awarding of the 2020 On My honor Service to Youth Award
Proclamation
WHEREAS, the success of Scouting for Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouting depends on our volunteers
WHEREAS, the unit volunteers are performing an outstanding service for their Scouts during these challenging times; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that Powahay District, of the Connecticut Yankee Council BSA, proclaim June 17, 2020, as Unit Volunteer Appreciation Day, with the presentation of the On My Honor Service to Youth Award.
Powahay Commissioners would to show our appreciation to those leaders and unit adults for outstanding and dedicated service during these challenging times with the awarding of the 2020 “On My Honor Service to Youth Award.”
Please note we have no funding to pay for the awards:
- FREE – Each Pack, Troop, Crew and Ship can nominate TWO recipients FREE. Paid for by a volunteer.
- $5.00 – Award Fee for additional recipients. This covers, printing, handling and mailing cost.
Each recipient will receive by regular mail to their home address an Awards packet including a printed “On My Honor Service to Youth Award” Certificate and a Powahay 40th Anniversary Patch.
Please join us for a SPECIAL ZOOM MEETING… Honoring our 2020 “On My Honor Service to Youth Award” on Wednesday, June 17, 2020; 7:30 pm. An invitation link will be emailed as we get closer to the date.
