Connecticut Yankee Council Campfire Coffee

Made from arabica beans grown in the Loja region of Ecuador. This region is one of the highest quality producers of Arabica Beans. The beans are grown at an altitude of 1,600 – 2,100’. These growing conditions produce medium to full bodied flavor notes which are perfect for all brewing methods.

Scout’s Own

100% PURE maple syrup is produced each year by tapping thousands of maple trees at Beaumont Scout Reservation in Northern Ohio where sap consistency ranks among the top for maple syrup-producing states in the country.

Connecticut Yankee Council Gourmet Hot Sauce

A proprietary blend crafted by Rubin of Rubin’s Hot Sauce especially for Connecticut Yankee Council. Made from homegrown Carolina reaper peppers which create a delicious hot sauce with enough heat for all hot sauce lovers. Two varieties are available. Original and Bourbon infused.

Details:

  • The sale runs from April 1st through May of 2022
  • Distribution Day for product pick-up is at the Council Service Center on Sat., March 19 between 9am and 12pm, or by appointment any weekday during the weeks of 3/20 & 3/27.  Contact william.amidon@scouting.org to arrange your product pick-up
  • The retail price of maple syrup is $12/bottle; hot sauce is $10/bottle. Units will earn $3.50 per 8 oz bottle of syrup and $2.50 per 5 oz bottle of hot sauce

  • Product returns and full payments are due by Wed., June 8 during office hours or Sat., June 11th between 9am – 12pm

How can you participate?

  1. Sign up by clicking the registration button below
  2. Pick up your Scouts’ Own Syrup and/or Connecticut Yankee Hot Sauce or sell via Take-Order Forms
  3. Sell at events, farmers’ markets, stores, etc. or to your friends and family
  4. Pay for the bottles you sold.  For Take-Order, pick them up and deliver to your customers
  5. Apply your proceeds to activities and camp

Get Creative and Enter the Sweet & Spicy Recipe Contest!

Patrols, dens, or units can work together to create an epicurean delight using Connecticut Yankee Council Hot Sauce and/or Scout’s Own Maple Syrup. The 5 chosen entries will be judged by our esteemed VIPs at ConnJam on May 14, 2022. The winning recipe will be displayed on
RubinsHotSauce.com and on ctyankee.org

Rules: Recipes will be accepted as of March 1st and must be submitted no later than April 30, 2022. Recipes will be judged on creativity, recipe name, use of Scout’s Own Maple Syrup and/or Connecticut Yankee Council Hot Sauce, camping-friendly preparation on a stove only.  Five recipes will be chosen for a “cook-off” at ConnJam on May 14 and a panel of judges will choose the winning recipe based on the criteria above and including taste and presentation.  Participants must be registered to attend ConnJam. The winning receipe will be featured on rubinshotsauce.com and ctyankee.org

FAQ

  1. Who can sell?
    • All Packs, Troops, Ships, Crews, and Posts
  2. Why is there a difference in the amount of commission?
    • Each bottle of maple syrup retails for $12; each bottle of hot sauce retails for $10 so there is slightly more commission earned for each bottle of maple syrup because of the higher cost
  3. Do we have to sell both syrup and hot sauce?
    • No. If you would prefer to sell one OR the other that’s ok
